MW Farm supplies - A country store for everyone

David Manson is the owner of MW Farm Supplies which used to be a branch of Yates where he had worked for 13 years until the opportunity arose for him to take the business over and run it for himself.

"We started as a basic ironmongery store for farmers, but now its a real general country store where you can get just about anything" he says and it is no idle boast when you see what can be found.

"We sell all types of fencing and associated ironmongery, protective work clothing, and also have some larger equipment such as cement mixers, industrial vacuum cleaners, lawn mowers, strimmers and chain saws.

There is a good range of electrical and hand tools for sale, along with buckets and shovels.

Farmers looking for plywood sheeting or stock board (STOKBORD), cattle or pig feeders, or drinkers and scraping equipment will find them at MW Farm Supplies, along with all that is needed where maintenance of equipment is concerned.

We carry a range of oils and lubricants for farm machinery , along with paint and preservatives for wood and metal.

The well stocked premises also include a good choice of dog foods and horse feed, as well as poultry feed.

It is a real Aladdins cave of equipment and supplies for both farmers and the general public alike".
